I am a Japanese interaction designer located in San Francisco.
I make ideas visible to the world digitally and physically.
In 2006, I got an opportunity to join a printmaking exhibition at the California College of Art. It was first time for me to not only come to San Francisco, but also to get out of Japan. I still remember all I could say at the time was yes, no, and okay. At Starbucks, I bought a small can of coffee even though I wanted to order a cup of coffee just because I was way too scared to order in my poor English. Looking back, that moment was the beginning of my journey. From my hotel room in Nikko San Francisco, looking down at the city, I quietly decided that "I am going to come back here and become a designer that can order a cup of coffee."
After a year of dipping myself into the English-speaking world with tremendous help from SEA as well as 3 years of enhancing my design skill with amazing people at AAU, my very first life goal came true.
I am always seeking fun people and fun projects. If you find me interesting, shoot me a konnichiwa.
I would be goddamn happy to hear from you. Let's make something happen together.
